Description
Extra Deep Drawing Steel is the most formable cold rolled steel. Most of the carbon has been removed during steelmaking, so it is non-aging. This grade is Titanium-stabilized and is commonly referred to as IF (interstitial-free) steel. Use cold rolled EDDS coil for the most demanding drawing and forming applications.
Why Use Extra Deep Drawing Steel?
- Recommended for: the most demanding drawing and forming applications
- Cost: Higher
Specifications
Strength, Yield Strength ksi(MPa), Tensile Strength ksi(MPa): Strong, 15-25 (100-170)
- For higher strength and lower weight, consider High-strength, Low-alloy
Formability: % Elongation: Best
Corrosion Resistance: Fair
- For better corrosion resistance, consider Coated Steel
